Explanation / Answer

A second crop of crystals which are obtained by evaporating some solvent from the filtrate of the recrystallization and cooling would be less pure as compared to the first crop. Because, the concentration of the contaminants in the mother liquor increases and there are more chance of inclusion of non-product into the crystal.
