All data and answers can be written directly on this worksheet No notebook write-up is required. You have two weeks to complete the assignment Padas. A. B. Making the Connections; A How-To Guide for Organic Chemistry Lab Technique* 2^nd Edition, Haydn McNeil, 2011, pages 77-101. Smith. J. G. Organic Chemistry. 4^th Edition. McGraw-Hill. 2014. pages 514-557. Acquire Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectra Use the ACD lash 1_H NMR Predictor to complete this section: https://ilab.acdJabs.com/iLab2/indcx.php Calculate the 1_H NMR spectrum for each molecule below. Sketch each spectrum in the space provided Correlate each peak in the spectrum to the proton (s) in the molecular structure that produced it. Also, record the smallest whole number ratio of peak areas.Explanation / Answer
We wil observe only four peaks in the nmr.
The C1 methyl , C2 methyl at same position (doublet), The CH of C2 second peak(m or d,t)
, and the three methyl groups on C4 at the same position as singlets.
The peaks are at 0.9. 0.95 , 1.2 and 1.6-1.7 approximatetly.
The three methyl singlets are the the first ones at 0.9ppm
the methylene is the triplet at 1.2 ppm,
the -CH(m) at abot 1.6 ppm
and two methyls at 0.9 ppm
