What is the difference between these two measures of error? (4 marks) f) Calculate the charge balance error for both samples. Is there any evidence either analysis may have analytical errors? Explanation / Answer

Dear Student,

The following concept is very much important to understand the relationship between density, the amount of individual ions and the volume of the solution.

1. a.Please calculate the summation of each ion which gives the total mass of solute: ms

calcualte the volume of water:1 litre can be assumed

molarity: mass/litre ( the ratio of the total mass of the solute to the total volume- can be taken as 1 litre.

b. For calcualting molality please convert 1 litre of water to mass of water by multiplying it with the density of water.

Summation of the amount of salts in or mass of all the soltes per kg of water would give the molality.

Others are to be calcualted in a similar manner.
