Working in an industry is no doubt becoming easier and easier because of use of various new technology .But this in turn is an alarm for any mishappening in an industry. Therefore industries have realized to install certain equipments in order to fight with most common drills in an industry.

One of the common drill is fire drill. Fire can be due to short-circuit or any wrong installation of any machine part or mixing any anti chemicals.in order to control situations in industries use of fire alarms as well as installation of fire extinguisher . These are two most commonly used methods to control drills.

Beside this first aid box inn every department is also necessary because it will act as initial relief in case of any accident. Smoke detector is also used in industries just to give a first impression of coming problem.

So by using these basic facilities we can easily control fire drills to a great extent but this is just an effort to avoid further losses and not a solid solution to fire drills. Where there is work of ambulance we can't control the situation manually.

Explanation / Answer

The industries now a days are taking extra precautions in order to be have safe working environment for its employees. The threats from short circuit or due to mixing of anti chemicals or wrong installation of machine part is always there.

The measures to fight against any mis happening can be clubbed into two brackets:

1) Curative Measures : These includes measures which are used after the incident has taken place. Hence, the aim is to quickly restore the basic condition & to have minimum losses. The things under it are:

2) Preventive Measures : The steps taken in order to have no accidents fall under this category. In the recent years, industries are investing more on such measures as they can help to zero down the threats of such accidents. Things included under it are:

Thus, there are ways & means to curb the fire drills but the chances of mis happening is alwyas there. Also, the industry controlling body do the Audit of Industries & certifies them in terms of steps taken by them to avoid fire incident. Eg. BEAC certification in USA etc. Thus, more & more awareness is required in order to have zero accidents.
