It is with heartfelt regret that I must inform you, the Director of Human Resources, that we will be shutting down the Arville, Massachusetts, plant and will be relocating to a new plant 70 miles east of Atlanta, GA. Our plant will close effectively on Monday of next week and we will be opening the new plant in Genceville. GA. within 90 days. Employees who want to move to the new plant will be allowed to apply for positions there. If accepted, employees will be trained in the duties of the new positions and rehired. Employees not wanting to move to the new facility will end their employment with our company effective Monday of next week. Please compose a letter from you, as HR Director, to the employees, suppliers, and the general public announcing the relocation and re-organization of our company, and the circumstances of our closing and reopening in 90 days. Please prepare an internal email to the employees explaining the benefits of outplacement services that we will offer each employee leaving our company. This is in continuation to my letter announcing the relocation and reorganization of our company. The company is providing outplacement services to the employees leaving our company to assist them in finding employment elsewhere. The outplacement services will include four weeks of severance pay, help in resume writing, help in searching for job, and reference design help, along with help preparing a cover letter to prospective future employer, in order to assist the employees in finding employment.
The outgoing employees should take the benefit of the outplacement services. Employees desirous of availing outplacement services or for any other clarification and information in this matter, should get in touch with HR managers, Mr Davis and Ms Suzie.
