B. The company is incorporating ISO 14000 standards as evident from its construction of earthquake-resistant buildings and trying to save human lives in the process. It is trying to go for continuous improvements in its disaster recovery and business continuity plans. It also carries out earthquake drills for its employees frequently. Nissan has also set up “Global Environment Management Committee” to implement global environment management system in its production plants.
C. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Practices:
According to me, the second option, i.e., contribution of certain portion by the company to insure lives of employees, is the most effective one, as dual purpose will be served, that of giving assurance to the employees for compensation of their lives and also saving money for them.
