Emotional Quotient of an individual is the ability to understand and gather insight about the emotions of self as well as the others in the environment. This makes him to take actions and frame responses based on the basis of emotions of the person and take appropriate steps to resolve and eliminate work or behavior based conflicts between the team members. Most of the successful organisations around the world focus that a manger should have a high level of emotional quotient and this is sometimes considered even more important than Intelligence quotient. Leaders or managers need to work through the maze of complex issues that arise because of the problems that have their roots in the cultural, behavioral and personal differences among the team members

Myer Briggs Type Indicator or MBTI test is a personality test that is based on the four pairs of mutually exclusive and opposite traits (Kramar, 2011):

The Big Five factors are openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism.
Openness: the person is open to new ideas and hence will be creative in his approach to solve problems in the team.
Conscientiousness: this person shows very high tendency to be efficient and organized and hence suitable for jobs requiring high level of precision.
Extraversion: This person is suitable for the jobs requiring very high level of interpersonal interactions with varied nature of clients.
Agreeableness: This person performs well in jobs requiring team work and high level of commitment to the work place procedures and methods.
Neuroticism: this kind of person is irritable and questions others point of view. He may not be suitable for team work.
