As organizations become more diverse and globally connected, it is important to ensure that training is designed and delivered to meet companies’ strategic objectives, regardless of location. It is also important to be aware of cultural differences when delivering training and development, along with aligning to strategic goals and objectives. What are some ways in which organizations can ensure that this is done properly? In addition, explain obstacles that organizations may encounter when addressing different cultures in training and development.

Ans - There are difference ways which people of different culture can be integrated to work towards common goad. Large MNC employing lakhs of people across the globe is a great example of it. Below are the different ways which can ensure that people of different walks of life can be dealt properly to work towards organizations success-

1) Finding a common goal- It is very important to first find out what is common between people of different culture. Once it is identified work can be started to integrate all of them into the system. For example in India where Bangalore is the IT hub where people from across India comes for work, there are some diverse organisation like TCS, WIPRO etc employees lakhs of people from different set of cultures and customs.

2) Treating all the one- One of the most important thing while imparting the training that all need to be treated as single entity, then only training can be imparted; if it is not done there will be chaos. It is of utmost important to do so that all can be benefitted and imparted with set of skills and qualities need for the personal as well as professional development.

3) Leadership- Leadership is all about finding a vision and achieving it. Different set of people from various walks of life have their own difference, but it is very important to teach the skill eldership of taking all forward toward a common goal. It will ensure mutual care and respect for each and it will help in a great way to integrate with each other.

Yes, obstacles will be there but they should not be treated as the obstacles they should be treats as opportunity to understand and serve the people of different culture. Below is the list of common obstacle that an organization might face.

1) Resistance to change- It is a very common phenomenon that people in any of the way they will try to resist the change. So it is very important for the organisation to take care of the issue by arriving at the common terms. For example in USA it is common for the people to arrive at the workplace at 8:30 am in the office, and if a USA MNC try to replicate same at its office in India it be not be accepted to anyone. In India, people are habituated to come at 10am in the morning. So to solve this issue some companies have given the liberty to the employee to come late office. We can see by giving that small big issues have been resolved. Like this all other issues can be resolved.

2) Lack of acceptance of each other- It is worthwhile to be noted that people from different origin find it very difficult to accept each other. They find it equally difficult to embrace each other culture. For example in USA there is huge difference between white locals and Blacks who have African origin. These communities have huge difference. When blacks and whites are put together in a same organisation then it is a great issue to co-operate with each other. The only solution to this problem is acceptance of each other.

3) Lack of Leadership quality- When people from different set of cultures and ethnicity are there it is very important to make them feel as leaders, because once a person have a feel of this leadership quality his/her attitude changes completely they began to take all other forward and work towards a common goal. Also if this quality is not present it will be difficult to find business leaders and motivator for the organization to take it forward towards success.

4) Lack of Interest- It is very important to create interest of the people whom we are imparting training. If people don’t have the interest in the training program them will simply listen and forgot. So it is very important to first create interest, and then impart training.
