1) The layout and facility design is considered an important part of the business operations. It is useful for creative effective production process and meeting. It ensures smooth flow of work, material and information through a system. The layout and design is essential for maximum work to take place.
The facilities are focused to be designed to meet the changing needs of production. There is requirement for the design to be flexible and automated facilities need to be available for variety of products.
The facility design reflects smooth process flow along with focus given to materials handling, space utilization, output needs and promotional value.
There is wide range of facilities including small and relatively simple medical clinics. There are different types of health care facilities in the large hospital centers. The facilities communicate to the organization and medical care which forms part of it. There are several regulations and technical requirements which form part of the design of health care facilities. Sustainability is the important point considered for the design of all the health care facilities. There are sustainable design features which are included in health care facility design. This includes maintenance, sustainable operations, water and energy conservation etc. Security is also considered an important focus of design for facilities.
