The steps involved in the communication process are as follows-
1. Developing idea by sender:
It is the planing stage basically in which a sender who want to convey the message with the intention of sending information to others develop an idea to be sent. This is the subject matter of communication.
2. Encoding:
Encoding means translating the ideas with the use of certain symbols like words, pictures etc so that it can be communicated to others.
3. Developing the message:
After encoding, message can be transmitted to receiver which can be in written, oral or in symbolic form. For example writing a letter is a written message.
4. Selecting the medium:
Next step is selecting the medium. It is a means of transmitting the message to receiver which can be in writing, speaking, gesturing, signaling etc.
5. Transmission of message:
In this step sender can transmit the message through any channel to receiver which may be either in formal or informal way.
6. Receiver:
After receiving the message it is a receiver who understand the message in the best manner for achieving the desired result.
7. Decoding:
it is the interpretation of sender message. Receiver tries to convert the message into thought to understand the meaning of message.
8. Feedback:
This is the last step in the communication process. it is a receiver response to send a message which ensure that he has understood the message which increase the effectiveness of communication.
