Hawthorne experiments has certain limitation in his relay-assembly test room experiments

The researchers concluded that socio-psychological factors for eg, such as feeling of being important, recognition, attention, participation, cohesive work-group, interaction with coleagues and non-directive supervision held the key for higher productivity.

This experiment lags many other environmental factors and knowledge factor for an employee and his productivity relationship.

Structure of organisation has significant role in organisational performance. It can be hierarchical wise ( centralised), flat or decentralised. Centralised give more control to top management over the employees and each layer has given certain authorities and power to delegate upon others. While decentralised have more freedom and it encourages collective participation of all employees for decision making.
