Question

Thank you for any help!!!!!

You are the executive director for a growing, prosperous 8 physician medical clinic. You would like to hire another 2 doctors; however, the current clinic space is inadequate. You have leased a beautiful new space in a medical office building across the street from the hospital. You've been asked to plan and manage the move to a new location. You've leased the larger office for occupancy on May 1st (today is January 15th). Since customer service is so important to the clinic's continued success, you can't close down operations for the move or even lessen your availability (people won't stop getting sick on your schedule). Areas you need to account for are "connectivity" (PCs, internet, fax, phones), public relations (stationery, customer notification), and the physical aspects (movers, floor plan, decorating), among other things.

Explanation / Answer

The project Charter is a written document which states the flow of the project started which in this case is the move of the clinic to a new place.

Planning can be done according to the appointment schedule of doctors. First, the new office has to be renovated if need be or redecorated with new designs and interiors. Once that has been done, recruitment of the two more doctors needed, can be taken care of. They would directly join at the new office. Moving of physical stuff can be done according to the availability and vacancy of the objects. Doctors can be moved to the new office and start operations as and when they have an appointment free date. Customers or patients should be informed duly before the doctor is shifted to the new office. Stationery should be newly bought for the new office.
