Explanation / Answer
Title VII of civil rights act 1964 is a Federal law that protects citizens from discrimination based on religion. This law makes illegal to employers to discriminate persons based on religion to hiring, promotions, firing or for other job opportunities.
This law also requires employers to reasonably accommodate the religious practices of an employee. Unless to do so would create undue hardship on employers.
In this case, Jaggi wear a turban in public as per his religion practice. But when he applied for a job and ask to remove that turban, it is not legal as per Title VII law described above. As per this law, Jaggi would allowed to accommodate his religious practices at job and not allowing this is illegal and leads to punishment to employer.
