Three interdependent activities to be developed and constantly evaluated by successful leaders are: setting direction, organizational design, nurturing ethical culture.
In the case of nurturing ethical culture, we must say that organizational culture can be defined as the set of habits and beliefs, established through norms, values, attitudes and expectations shared by all members of an organization. The organizational culture is composed of a set of ideologies, symbols and core values that are shared throughout the organization, and that influences the way of doing business; the way of thinking and acting of an organization, that is, how to negotiate, treat your customers and employees and to all participants in the business.

For example, in the case of Apple it is very permissive regarding dress codes and in fact have none, with periods of flexible work and role hierarchy is blurred. Apple has a very unique organizational culture, people always keep developing quite creative initiatives resulting effective products and services, which make the customer captivates with products at the forefront.

Applied ethics is interdisciplinary. One of the fundamental questions of applied ethics, is that the task of clarifying the contributions of each activity cannot do ethicists unilaterally, nor professionals individually. The strength of applied ethics is precisely that consists of an interdisciplinary work done by experts in each field (health, businessmen, journalists, etc.) and ethicists.

In other words, the application of ethical principles, cannot be done in a mechanical way to the different fields of action, it is necessary to find out, what are the contributions that each activity should give society are, which means the specific purpose that gives meaning to each profession, and the values and habits that need to be incorporated to achieve that purpose. Thus, we could define the purpose of medicine as preventing disease and injury, relieve pain and suffering, caring for and healing the sick; or the goal of democracy as government by the people; the regular exchanges economy to meet human needs with quality and justice.

The main challenges that a leader will face, could be:
• benefit from taking the best of the different philosophies.
• negative business practices.
• harmony of opposing thoughts, without showing more identified with a line of thought against another.
• new alternatives and creative solutions.
• the tendency to view problems from a limited perspective, based on their previous education and experience.

Although we have analyzed only nurturing ethical culture, the three activities are necessary, since none is enough to drive an organization forward. Setting direction is ineffective without proper design of the organization and nurturing ethical culture, which harmonizes with the intended direction of the organization. Effective organization design is useless without the proper understanding of the objectives of the company and a supportive culture. Finally, a nurturing ethical culture by itself will not produce results without a clear objective and an organizational structure to follow.

By setting direction is achieved clarify the direction to take the company in the future, providing a framework for establishing the mission and goals of the organization, creating communication channels that help the employee participation, assuming their commitments in all the levels.

Establishing an organizational structures facilitate the implementation of the vision and strategies of the leader. However, we must be careful with the lack of understanding of the responsibilities, low motivation of groups of employees towards achieving the goals, management inadequate budgets, mechanisms insufficient coordination, which does not allow the integration of the activities of the company.
