I am very much in favour of the revolution in robotics and wants to see the application of technology developments as is being tested in the automobile manufacturing sector as well as practiability of driver-less cars on the roads.As per the strategy, robots play very important role in increasing the efficiency, productivity and quality in the various operations. As per the data and information available with the company Ford, robots played very important role in restructuring of Ford's operations and reconfiguration of the work carried out inside its plants. More than 11,000 robots involved in North American manufacturing, and purchasing about 600 robots every year. The use of robots not only reduced the workforce but also resulted in tremendous quality gains. There may be social and ethical issues about reducing the employment of manpower and giving preference to robots over the human beings. Never the less, competitive efficiencies, safety and security issues related with the manufacturing and quality precisions with minimum wastages, are favoring the use of advanced technology and robots.
