Explanation / Answer

The organisation which I am discussing here is a mid sized organisation with 1500 employees. It is a manufacturing company. Major challenges the organisation facing in innovation is change management. Employees in most of the cases are very rigid in their day to day activities and has negative attitude against implantation of new policies or IT/System up gradations. The narrow minded from the traditional work style is a barrier for innovation. They fear that automation services may gradually results in loosing their job. So a group of them unite and stood against IT implementation in process related activities.

The reasons for innovation and entrepreneurship barriers are:

The supporting organisation has many characteristics such as supportiveness to employees in terms of job security and additional incentives based on individual and company performance. Employee must feel like having the ownership of work and can give full dedication for the same. Proper training and development with advanced technology awareness on their job related fields gives new insights to the employees. It makes the more conscious and more proactive in learning new things. Trusting the employees in their new initiatives and support them for proposing new ideas actually enhance their loyalty towards the company. Sharing new things in common session and arranges session for their interaction helps them to gain more knowledge on parallel fields.

Organisation in their nature may not be equipped with all innovative features. But an organisation can mould them to a better place to work with through better employee engagement. Adaptability to the new phase, collaborative environment to discuss the success and failures, learning new things to succeed or overcome the shortages all makes an organisation unique. An employee friendly environment is necessary for a creative environment. Closed and limited scope organisation has less sustainability in the coming future. Proper management in terms of human resource and financial control gave better insight on the development activities. Communicate through proper channels regard the changes and improvements in the organisation. Make a common platform to discuss the concerns and make employees feel proud about their work
