In my view, these reform movements have consequences mostly in positive ways only. If any good things or changes are not happening, then at least awareness is being created among people and bringing attention of people to these world-wide problems faced by human beings since many years. When we see the difference today, its huge just huge.

Acts like concerted activity are established in country like US where earlier it was comparatively easy to remove employees from job to provide them some sort of security and giving them right of collective bargaining for issues like pay increase or benefits. movement to stop drunk-driving is being effecive and at least creating awareness among people that because of your bad habits, or mere ignorance may cause lives of innocent people. Sensitive and very important issue like domestic violance was vital to empower women and refrain men from doing such unlawful activities. Today gay people are getting equal social rights and freedom to choose their sexuality or gender. which was crime some years ago if such couple get caught.
