Exactitude Manufacturing implemented a new compensation system a year ago and it hasn't been very well received by their employees. Pay grades were reduced from six to five, and pay was tied to skills. training and level of responsibility rather than seniority. At a result some af the most senior and highly skilled workers are already at the top of their pay grades. They haven't had a raise in a year and will only see slight pay increases for several years to come. They are understandably frustrated and hate been complaining to co-workers, supervisors, human resource managers and anyone else who will listen.

1. Anthony's concern is all about making things get back to normal. A secratory and president in charge has to lead the forum and vision and objectives has to be circulated and discussed among employees. Employee participation must be ensured. Then they have to inform the mamagement regarding the formation of union and agenda has to be published and presented before them for final approval. The union at the same time has to be registered with the labour commission and central labour council/union.

3.If labor union get certified Exactitude might think from various perspectives. Shut down a plant and open or enhance the capacity or production from other plant is not an easy or feasible solution in a short term. So they might think of taking the things much more practical and can have a discussion with the union and to revise the pay structure on mutual benefits. Compromise talks would be always a better option. Mass lay off of employees also have huge negative impact as many are skilled and experienced persons so hiring of new employees and to meet thier frequency on required level might take long time.
