Mr. Said, the human resources director at SPLASHIES, which is specialized in manufacturing and retailing aquatic sport equipment. The company begun as small project but, now that it became a big company with 105 employees, a consultant told him that he has to create documents about job roles and responsibilities. The existing employees have been recruited on the basis of a subjective evaluation of the company creator Mr. Mohamed which relied on the likeability of the candidate or their friends or relatives. Moreover SPLASHIES is opening a new store in Riyadh in 6 months. The new store will need a Manager and 20 employees.
1- Do you agree with the consultant opinion, why?

2. Mr. Mohammed's criteria is suitable for small organisations or for a project. However, as the organisation is growing within the country and across the globe, it is important to improve the recruitment process. The company can source talent from various sources, and it needs to thoroughly assess the candidature of applicants. HR costs are an important component of the company's overall costs and the company should be careful about its methods of sourcing

Further,it is important to understand the requirement of each department separately and then create a job descritpion. The descritpion should clearly define, the roles, responsbilities, reporting relationships, nature of employment, tenure, terms and conditions and compensation.
4. Firstly, it is important to identify the vacancies for all departments, create job descriptions and defining selection criteria. Once, that is done, the recruitment process can be initiated. It is important to finalise the sources of recruitment. For the new store, following soruces can be utilised :
