Being a US citizen I am bound by FCPA 1977 , which prohibits me from giving or accepting bribe in any form. The law is applicable to me, whether I am in US or outside . So I will refuse to pay the bribe to the officer in charge and will urge him to clear the shipment as per SOP, otherwise I will report the matter to anti-corruption bureau.
