I need a 250 word discussion post on the following

Analyze the organization in which you work (or have worked in the past) in terms of its diversity management initiatives. Which diversity components does the company currently implement? Not implement? What are your company’s strengths and weaknesses in light of the integrated approach to managing diversity? Is there a diversity component missing from the model? If so, what is it and what are the initiatives that fall under the newly added diversity component?

Explanation / Answer

Diversity is basically acknowledging the uniqueness of the different individuals like the differences in race, religion, cast, sex, etc. Diversity at a workplace is the characteristic of mixed manpower that provides a wide array of experiences, abilities, strengths, thought processes and knowledge. This range is due to the difference in their age, race, gender, ethnicity, etc.

Inclusion at a workplace is to treat all employees alike irrespective of how diverse they are. Inclusion tries to prohibit any kind of discrimination and bias among employees.

The difference in their cultural heritage and value system clearly had a difference in which they approve a business problem or decision-making. Japanese try to simplify the problem to the lowest detail, as they want clarity and certainty. They are risk averse and often aim at long-term profits. On the other hand, Americans are risk takers. They take ay situation as a challenge and explore it. Usually they are quick in decision-making and aim at short-term benefits.

Diversity and inclusion are combined as one unit by HRD to prepare an organization to become an inclusive workplace. An inclusive workplace is one that embraces all its employees and treats them alike irrespective of how diverse they are. The inclusiveness of a workplace prohibits discrimination, enhances synergy and thereby increases the creativity, talent and knowledge of the employees.

A diverse workforce will have the capability to explore a problem from various perspectives and have diverse set of opinions. This helps in the holistic exploration of a problem and providing a thoroughly discussed solution.

The path to equality, diversity and inclusion is not smooth. Some of the barriers that arise in the path of equality and diversity in workplace are:
