“Although Americans are working more, they are more distracted by technology and therefore are less productive at work”. This statement is not completely right or wrong as well. This is actually happening at few places or industries. Today world is looking for the technology for everything they do. The companies like Google, Microsoft , Accenture, etc are spending millions of money on their Research and development department so that they are able to find something new for the industry or developed new technology that can make the work easy for them.
The statement “Although Americans are working more, they are more distracted by technology and therefore are less productive at work.” is right at few level because of following points:-
This way technology will able to help the company or management to improve there working and attract more and more customers towards them.

This statement is right that the technology is really creating the distraction for people and making people less productive but it is also true the only thing which make human different form machines is there wiliness and habit of adaptation. If one person who wants to work and learn new skills than he/she will do that and if any one who only wants to leave the work on technology and enjoy the present than he/she will suffer. So this shows that technology is creating distraction but it is also depends on person to person how to deal with situation.
