Carl returned with a gun that he used to shoot the manager, a security guard, an employee and Heather. When the police officers arrived, one officer shot and killed Carl. Heather died at the scene, but the manager, security guard and employee survived, although they were severely injured. A wrongful death lawsuit filed against Jabil by Heather’s parents. According to me ,The Manager of Jabil has performed his duties well by calling to police , because at that time the manager was not known that the matter could turn in such a way, causing death of Heather.But on moral basis the employee and other staff could have taken some steps so that Heather life would have been saved.
on point of winning it totally depends on the wise judgement of the judge after analysing the scenario at that time. Although with the first look of the scenario it could be seen that the Manager has performed his duty well by calling the police. As he was not known that the matter could turn this way according to me the staff should not get any penalty or sentence to jail.
According to me the injured people must be compensated for the harm caused to them by the CARL ,the court must issue orders regarding compensation to them for their madical treatment until they get fit .The compensation amount must be collected from CARL family or from his assests or in case the government should provide it to them.
