Question
2) What moral obligations, if any, do employees have to the people with whom they work? What obligations, if any, do employees have to people with whom they have no direct relationship, and for whom they have no professional or organizational relationship? For example, what moral obligations do you have to workers in third world countries who produce many of the items that are purchased in the United States? Would you be willing to spend as much as twice (or ten times) as much for your clothing if that was required for these workers to be treated fairly?
Explanation / Answer
Moral obligation with your coworkers include:
Treating them fairly
No back biting
Keeping them on the same platform
Complete transparency and no favoritism.
2
Moral obligation with people with no direct relationship:
Support them, directly or indirectly, in initiatives that can help them make their nation, a better place.
Support them in their initiatives such as abolition of child labor (not purchase product from organizations that use child labor), discourage poaching (don't purchase products of ivory or ones that are derived from dead animals)
Extend your hand to them in child development, women empowerment, flood relief, poverty eradication initiatives.
3
Spending high, doesn't necessarily ensure that the workers are treated fairly because of the following reasons:
Their salary doesn't increase that much (profit is taken by the seller and middleman)
Encourages mal-practices, exploitation of labor or natural resources.
Also, you need to take care of your pocket, spending high will affect your budget and your hard earned money.
