The list contains the agencies that inspect and regulate the healthcare environment in the United States. The effect of having such as large number of agencies and regulation is increased administrative and paper work in a healthcare setting. Application & maintenance of the regulatory rules and making paper work to prove application makes the healthcare environment less productive making a large portion of time being used in paper work.
The financial impact of this is the increase in the cost and reduction of the productivity. This happens because the productive time is being used in non-productive work such as making a paper trail to ensure compliance.
It directly and indirectly affects the patients as it reduces the system capacity and concentrate on patent. It also increases the cost of the healthcare that patients and insurance agencies pay.
