Scenario 2: Richard and Charles are talking in the hallway about the employee benefits program. Charles, who has had some recent financial trouble, explains to Richard how the benefits program has a loophole that will allow him to receive some financial assistance that he really needs to help pay health care costs for his mother. Cathy, a fellow worker, overhears the conversation. Later, Cathy is approached by her supervisor who says he heard a rumor that some people were taking advantage of the company benefits program. What are the ethical questions that might be raised about the actions of all each of the people in this scenario??

In our case, ethical issue is that Conway & Richard are discussing and finding ways to get more out of the company
List the facts that have the most bearing on the decision.
The facts that have most bearing on the decision are
Identify anyone who might be affected by your decision and how.
1. Conway - According to supervisor, taking advantage of company's policy is a rumor. When he knows Conway is the person who told that, higher chances for firing him from job.
2. Cathy - If she told her supervisor that Conway is the person talking about loopholes, she get into the good books of her supervisor.
Explain what each affected person would want you to do about the issue.
1. Conway - He doesn't want to lose his job.
2. Cathy - She need the appriciation for brining the scenario to supervisor's notice.
List three alternative actions and identify the best and worst case scenario for each alternative, anyone who may be negatively impacted by the choice, and any values that would be compromised by selecting the choice.
1. To terminate Conway & Warn Richard for their behaviour (or) Let Conway say the things to HR for this eligibility to claim, rest HR will take care of
2. To change the Policy and correct the said "loopholes"
3. To appreciated Cathy for her work.
Determine a course of action.
My opinion is to change the policy thereby eliminating the ground for Claim.
