Two companies which are promoting gender diversity are HSBC and Citi Bank.
Below are few steps they have taken in order to promote the gender diversity:
1. It has been made a mandate that each team should have at least a fix proportion of employees as females.
2. Women in Leadership is an important step taken by these companies. Under this, they plan to hire women in all the leadership positions.
3. Women in technology: Both the banks are aware of the fact that technology industry has always been dominated by men. These firms are coming up with Training, workshops etc. where they are promoting women to be a part of technology leadership and contribution to the technology within the firm.
4. Bringing women back to work: Most of the women tend to leave the organization or they did not find it flexible as to come back to work. They either lack skills or capabilities once they have a gap in between their career when they go for maternity etc. In order to promote diversity, these firms have come up with ideas and schemes, where they allow and invite female who went for maternity back to the organization and make sure that they are given flexible timings and proper care at the workplace.
