DNA polymerase requires RNA primer to initiate replication which is synthesized by enzyme DNA primase. But DNA primase is a type of RNA polymerase. Hence DNA replication is dependent on activity of RNA polymerase.

Introns are non-coding sequences present interspersed in between the coding sequences of eukaryotic genome called exons. They are absent in prokaryotes. These introns are removed and exons undergo alternate splicing in eukaryotes prior to translation in eukaryotes.
