Creating Employee buy-in: Organizational buy-in can be created with following steps:
1) Understanding the way other people will communicate / style: Any message to employee must be given as they want . It will be responsive tactics.
2) Build trust /respect through mutual dialogue: It will give employee a good sense and they want to associate with your esteemed organization.
3) Know the Change situation: If, we want to change the current technology for employees then their level of readiness must be taken into consideration.
4) Be ready to give answer: When, people will ask about technological change then we must ready to satisfy them with our logical answer.
5) Negotiate any term with employees: if, people ask us to give concession to some extent then we plan the same.
6) Ask any doubts and get feedback: We shall ask our doubts regarding work and adoption by our employees. Even, we shall take their feedback on this change buy -in situation.
7) Follow up: We shall write greeting notes to employees for their support and ask them to get in touch with us.
Methods for addressing employee resistance to change:
Change is the universal law of nature. In organizational change people resist because they fear of losing their job, personal issues related with family, resettlement to new location, excess workload, new culture to adopt, new boss etc. We should follow the Kurt Lewin's theory of organizational change:
Unfreezing: We should try to communicate the change with people with an appropriate time. It should not be communicated at eleventh hour or last moment. People should be given time to think for change their current job location or shifting of office to new city etc.
Movement: When, people will start giving their consent or any oppose then we should take some actions from our side. Even, we can motivate our employees with benefits or relief packages while relocation.
Freezing: Once people will give their consent. We shall make comprehensive plan to manage the change systematically. We shall give our best to remain with employees support and assistance.
