Pretend that you are cruising through CareerBuilder.com and you run across the perfect job at the perfect company with the perfect salary, the perfect benefits, and the perfect location. There's only one problem... the advertisement says that the ideal candidate must have "managerial potential." What can you tell them about yourself to prove to them that you have managerial potential? (Remember, managers all perform 4 functions: planning, leading, organizing, and controlling - Fayol; they also have certain skills - Katz; they also have roles -Mintzberg).

While writing to my cover letter for that particular job, I will write to them the following capabilities which I possess,

I am constant learner with strategic planner. I am very good in people's skills. I love to talk new hires and guide them so that they can do better for our organization. I lead and motivate people with balancing the emotional attires. I always believe in setting standards then to measure my own performance against these performance standards. I used to liaison with people from my schooling. I have successfully completed two projects where diversified people are given roles and responsibilities. I will do my best once I get chance to work with this challenging job position.
