Explanation / Answer

Key points of Adidas's Social Media Policy Distributed to the employees

Employees are allowed to associate themselves at the time of posting the material to online community. But they must keep it branded as purely their own and as personal. Company should not be held responsible for any repercussions of the content posted online.
Employees are not allowed to post any confidential matter of the company to the online community. Design plans, internaloperations and legal matters should not be made public.
Proper copyright and references should be used at the time of posting online.
The policy statement is quite clear, comprehensive and gives clear instructions to the employees that no confidential matter of the company should be made public and the employees themselves are responsible for the repercussions faced by them as a result of the content posted online.

The policy doesnt mention clearly in a persuasive way about the importance and necessity to follow the instructions. It simply mentions what the employee is expected to do at the time using social media. It clearly mentions the do's and dont's at the time of using the social media.

All the statements have used a positive approach in order to make the employees feel a part of the company and none of their actions should harm the image and brand value of the company.

If I am asked to abide by the same, I would give my full consent as if an employee works and gets associated with the company, it is their moral and ethical responsibility not to harm the image of the company and work towards the benefits of the company.
