Assist Human Resources Manager with the hiring of direct employees.

Source and identify candidates for employment consideration as requested.

Schedule interviews with department heads and attend as requested.

Administer new employee orientation for direct employees.

Perform reference checks and background checks for direct employees.

Develop job postings as requested.

          Benefits Administration

Assist Human Resources Manager in benefits administration as required up to management team level.

Enroll and maintain benefits for employees.

Coordinate with benefits broker/carrier and assist with employee claims administration.

Employee relations

Assist HR Manager in setting up employee relations meetings.

Maintains and coordinates employee recognition and activities programs.

Assists with the various employee discount coupons by contacting companies for coupons as directed by HR Manager.

Conducts new hire orientation.

Assist with creating, publishing and distributing company/employee related news letters.

          Policies and Procedures

Assist with the creation, updating and distribution of company human resources policies and procedures as required.

          Legislative Compliance

Increase knowledge of current relevant employment legislation.

Verifies I-9 documentation, E-Verify, and maintains books current.

         Administrative

Provide administrative services to the Human Resources department as required.

Assist in maintaining personnel files.

Track employee vacation balances for salaried employees.

Track and record attendance for Salaried employees and report to HR Manager

Maintain library of employment reference materials.

Performs payroll/benefit-related reconciliations.

Conducts audits of various payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends any corrective action.

Updates HR spreadsheet with employee change requests and processes paperwork.

Assists with processing of terminations.

Assists with the preparation of the performance review forms.

Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions.

Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.

Prepares new employee files.

Other Duties as Required


Physical Work Environment/Conditions

Must be able to work in high temperatures, in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit for up to two hours.

Plant environment will be dusty with airborne wool particles.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced high volume production facility.

Some lifting, bending, stooping, walking up/down stairs.

Job Requirements

Two years relevant experience working in a human resources department

Experience with benefits administration.

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Understanding of employment regulations and laws.
