The Global business can learn many important concepts from the NGO’s environmentalists, human rights activists and consumer groups such as saving the environment, go green and reducing wastage of natural resources. Further, on human rights front avoid slavery, human bondage, and exploitation of children and woman. There is need to work in an ethical framework and not focus just on making profits. Most organizations should follow a sustainable approach to business and adhere to the UN global compact principles.
2. The East India company might be considered a vanguard of colonialism but they are also responsible for improving the business in the countries they entered by proving access to many new products. They also introduced the concept of global marketing and improved the economies of some countries. They introduced many new modern concepts while eliminating antiquated customs and traditions in some of the countries they ruled. They are responsible for creating a modern infrastructure and introducing education across the world. To sum it up though they were colonial in the approach they also provided a new way of thinking and new ideas to the countries they ruled.
