Explanation / Answer
The Major factors/ reasons for a person behind selecting a project can be different. In fact, you may find as many reasons/inspirations/factors as there are people on this planet. However, let me talk about what drives me to select a project to work upon.
To put this in one sentence, I would say that I see how many lives this project could potentially touch. Therefore, we are talking about millions of people.
For an example, I would like to include here that my last project was regarding sanitization awareness in the underdeveloped areas of India. This was actually a social project I took up and it was indeed a positive experience.
Let me tell you a project like this would influence the following.
1.Community. Empowering a community with the knowledge they need to live a healthy life can be life-changing. As Sanitization would create a better environment to live for them first of all, It would also then be a benchmark to follow for other such areas which may need a better sanitization.
2. Government. projects like the one I did also helps the government to take many more such initiatives because of a massive positive response not only from other entrepreneurs but all the affected communities. In the end, if you are sharing a responsibility with the government which helps them to better execute their agenda of development then a positive response is obvious.
3. Leadership. One more reason I like to take up such projects is that you hone your leadership skills while doing good for the community. Their skills are something which you may not accumulate in a regular day job. Hence Leadership inspiration is a major factor.
4. Problem-solving, work ethic and ambition. I am pretty sure these factors do affect your decision of selecting a project because all these characteristics are the pillars. If you are confident with these aspects is only when you would take up challenging projects like the one I did. Problem-solving abilities are something which one encounters in everyday tasks so that can still be taken for once. However, Work ethic and ambition is something you definitely have to have for a project that affects the masses.
Why my project is important to me?
Well, I can cite numerous reason for this but let’s talk about the most influential ( on me ) ones.
A strong zeal and commitment for the betterment of the less privileged part of our society is something that drives me and hence the reason for selecting a project. I think whatever we do for a living, if it does not contribute to someone’s life in a positive way then it’s a waste of time. Therefore, I always try to take not only an altruistic approach but also the numbers involved
