As one of your factors mentioning the effectiveness of new technology is better for preparing employees I often wonder about babyboomers. I believe at times they are often force to learn the using of the new technology and training which can be seen as a weakness within their skills. But they may be effective with another option as far as training. I do understand that technology is becoming more and more of a switch over as training methods but will there no longer be other options? Of course classes can be offer to help use and understand the new methods but that will require more time, money, and patience for fast pace companies.

I agree with your suggestion in asking the trainer of his qualifications, knowledge, and requirements for the training course. This is important to know as it can help know that the training is perceived to portray too much force.

Newer technologies have probably been to impact the training within future for several reasons. Initially, cost of those technologies would diminish. Secondly, organizations may utilize technology for better preparing employees for serving consumer as well as generating newer business. Thirdly, use of those newer technologies may substantially diminish training costs associated towards bringing geographically dispersed employees to the single central training location. Fourth, those technologies permit trainers for building in training most of the desirable characteristics of the learning culture.

I disagree with your post regarding babyboomers being forced to learn new technologies. A firm can be successful only if it frequently moulds and changes itself as per the market requirements without which it will become obsolete. Hence, use of technology for training needs is critical top deliver training in the most effective and time-saving way possible. Irrespective of whether it is baby boomers or millenials, they should be trained to get used to technologies, the learning curves of whom might vary as per their understanding as well as age. Babyboomers should be provided more emphasis with respect to imparting of training if required. I agree with the trainer efficiency as one of the important factors of the training being successfully imparted as skilled, knowledgeable and efficient trainers provide more value in imparting training to the trainees.
