The Stock Clerk-Case Study #1 Samson Brood is a stock clerk in an office building. He is a chronic griper-complains about management, the lay-out of the office, the amount of work he has to do, and the people whose departments he supplies. His supervisor notes that Samson frequently will step right over supplies that are lving on the floor instead of picking them up right away and storing them on the shelves. As Samson Brood hold poor ratings E. for performance parameter a, b, c & f , where as ratings for performance parameter e for leadership is unsatisfactory-

If he could understand what's leadership then his performance will be quality performance - As leadership involves model behavior for effective & efficient output which is missing in case of mr. Brood.

Developing unhealthy atmosphere by promoting non cooperation is similar to offensive act, As team is virtual form of office and wickets performing elements/ member of team decides performance of whole team. Hence to tolerate his behavior may result in sudden breakdown as he takes himself granted as model by attending office for more hours & available on holyday.

Hence being clerk his value is not as value of decision maker. he is at decision supporter role. He takes himself granted that he is decision maker and started developing his own discipline. He must warn & impose certain disciplinary action to regulate his behavior so that his work performance will be as per requirement of office. His unwanted involvement must be immediately stop by encounter his unofficial behavior freedom.
