The case Sullivan Hospital system has initiated important change suggested by the CEO. This was because of the issues related to market share loss and the problem related to patient satisfaction. There are distinct personalities for the president and the CEO. There is no access for the hospital managers to the operation data. There is lack of definitions for critical objectives. There was choice of total quality management as the cure without analyzing much or any diagnosis. The mission of the hospital was also not clear. The important changes include encouragement given by the government agencies for adoption of TQM, Customer dissatisfaction, competition. There were several days collection activities used for diagnostic of organization and this included interview.
