Applicant Pool New Hires Hispanic 5 Hispanic 2 Asian 3 Asian 1 White 11 White 10

Explanation / Answer

when we observe the first table, it is clearly notcied that the quantum of white applicants are higher. But when it comes to proportionate almost every applicant got job by white people, but the proportion is 33% of Aisans and 40% of Hispanic. It leads a doubt that white people dominates here, and showing clearly discrimination here.

if we observe the second table, the total number of male applicants are- 46, and female applicants are 13. The hiring number of male is- 23, and female is- 6. If we consider the applications and new hire number, both male and female carries equai weightage. In numbers it is as afollows:

the per cent of new hires of men= 23/47= 49%

the per cent of new hires of women= 6/13= 46%, hence i can say that, there is no bias or discrimination in this process.
