Business problem statement:
The behavioral health industry is moving toward measurement based and integrated care. Funding for behavioral health clinics will be tied to value, and not volume, and behavioral health providers will need technology platforms that document and measure care in ways that align to contractually specified patient outcomes. As the field continues to move toward holistic care, behavioral health providers will be required to integrate their service delivery with primary care, which will necessitate the inter-operability of health information systems. At this time, Team E’s clinic does not have a system to adequately document and measure care over time, nor does it have a technology platform sophisticated enough to exchange health information with other health care service delivery systems.

To migrate from a paper based system, to a user-friendly, integrated, certified EHR system to give our clinic the ability to manage client intake, case management, client discharge, demographic analytics, and billing.

Business Process changes:
There will be definitely a major change in the business process as we are shifting the whole old school method to an upgraded and latest modern system.
The major changes in the business process can be stated as following:
1-> As per the movement to EHR, more client intake can occur and therefore there will be requirement of more staff to look after the clients and their concerns.
2-> There will be a better case management system as everything will be updated in a system for every unique case and therefore a client does not necessarily be attended by a same clinic employee, if any emergency occurs.
3-> There will be less chances of mishandling the sensitive information of any client by using the EHR system.
4-> There will be requirement of expert staff for diagnosing the case rather than managing the same as in the paper based method. Because with EHR, less no. of staff can manage more no. of clients easily.
5-> The business flow will become easier and it will look like following:
Client Intake-> Creating a new record in EHR->Providing diagnosis to client-> Closing the case in EHR while Client discharge-> Reminders created in EHR to keep a check on already discharged patient as follow up.
This process flow is almost same on the paper system but it creates lots of fuss and need more staff and therefore less cost effective to manage, while the same in an EHR can be managed by a minimal number of staff.
Summary of project:
As there a lot of people/clients those have behavioral health issue and they look for diagnostics at some point in their life. Team E Beahvioral clinic is always there to help its client to fight with suc issues. But in the world of modernisation and technology, working on paper based client managment system in healthcare field can be a troublesome task which affects efficiency, accuracy and cost effectiveness of a business model. So there is a requirement of an EHR(Electronic Health Record) system, which will help in:

Efficiencies and Cost Saving
Overall, moving to an EHR is a profitable and positive bid which can change the future of our clinic towards progress and success.

A) Need of change
As we know that, Team E Behvioral clinic has a system which based on old operational methods for record keeping. These old methods are less efficient and require a lot of efforts to be kept up to date but no matter how hard you try there is always a chance of human error in the maintaining records.Due to the above reason, there is an utter need of upgrading the clinic to a certified EHR(Electronic health record) system.
B) Benefits of EHR
EHR will help keep things organised. The process from the start i.e. client intake till the time client is discharged and followed upon will become more manageable and there will be less dependency on a particular staff to maintain that particular record. There will be more assurance of client privacy by use of EHR
