The project is to create a platform where the writers from different parts of the world can interact and share their ideas. The customer wants to build a platform in the form of a website and an app for both Android and iPhone users. The platform should be robust and should be build using the technology angular.js. They want the platform to be upgradable over a period of time when the traffic increases on the website and app. They want a coffee board on the platform where the writers can have a live chat. The users should be able to submit their work on the platform and the interested people should be able to bid to buy the content they like on the platform.
The aim of the project is to provide a platform to the talented writers around the world to showcase their talent. The objective is to bring all the writers together under one platform and help them in finding projects.
The method to develop this project is by conducting a market study for feasibility analysis and to understand the market demand for this solution. The data can help us understand what is missing in the project plan and how we can improve the product as a whole. Create a technical team to work on the technical aspects and a business team to study the market and generate leads for the platform for revenue generation. Required training will be provided to both the teams and given wit tasks to complete in a specific time period.
I am planning to assign 3 technical managers and 3 engineers for each manager to lead. I will provide them with the required licenses for the tools they need for web development. The technology and the required development environment is provided to the team. The computers and the laptops with the required configuration will be provided to keep the progress smooth. A stable high-speed internet with all the tools will be provided to all the team members.
The schedule will be divided into 4 parts of 4 weeks each. The team will have a milestone to achieve every 4 weeks for successful completion. Status reports should be shared every week to keep all the employees informed of all the happenings in the project. ( I cannot use Gantt Chart here )
A robust platform with all the features explained above should be completed and it should be bug-free as the customer is planning to take this live one week after the completion. The maintenance of the platform should be minimal and the customers should be able to tackle all the technical problems easily. The platform initially should be able to accommodate at least 500 writers and have a content of 30 GB initially. The numbers and data are expected to grow over the years and the platform should be able to withstand the load.
