Now that you understand how critical customer communication is to a business, why would a company such as McDonald's, which is already well known to virtually all consumers in the United States, continue to spend heavily on advertising? 2. Advertising is very important for the company whether it is McDonalds or Apple or any other companies. McDonald initial strategy was to invest in advertising and this is why the company is here. They focus on children and youth in their ads.

The advertisement stimulates the hunger of the customers after watching the ads and people but the stuffs. McDonalds have many competitors like burger king, Dominos, KFC although KFC and Dominos do not sell burgers but they are in same industry of fast food products so they are competitors. If McDonalds is not advertising then it will loses its competitive edge over the competitors.

Another most important reason is that there is a famous proverb that if lie is spoken thousands time then it feel like truth. Same apply on fast food industry. Fast food companies spend huge on advertising to show that it is ok to have fast food.

This is why people consume these foods despite of its negative impacts. So keep the customers but they advertise. McDonalds is also a part of it. You can imagine that you can get McDonald burger in health care units. So keeping the customers in hibernating mode advertising is needed.

Another reason is that it focuses on children and youth specially children so that they can get a strong future. If children are habitual then in future companies has strong customer base.

McDonald is a big company because it advertises huge as well as gives faster services and customer satisfaction. These are the key elements which have created McDonalds so McDonalds keeps this strategy on that is why it advertises.
