After viewing the English Mania video in the Overview section of the course Content area, answer the following questions: Why is it important to understand cultures other than our own? English is a compulsory subject for all Chinese elementary school students; more than 200 million Chinese children study English. By comparison, only about 24,000 U.S. elementary children study Chinese. Why would it be helpful for more U.S. students to study the Chinese language?

Yes, it was important understand the greatness of other cultures because

English is the second largest language that which people speak. If we know English we can easily survive in any place. By that reason Chinese students are intended to learn the English. But it is also important for the U.S students learn the Chinese language because we know that many big projects will be offered by the china to U.S. Today’s students are the tomorrow future so it was mandatory to know the Chinese language because they should have the big conferences with the business people if we are lack in language it will create a big problems while assigning the deals. U.S government should also pass an law that they should have to learn the Chinese language
