National Geographic adopted the trend visual story telling trend in social media to create an unprecedented number of followers. Staying with its traditional strategy of television, magazines and short films, the company also invested in visual storytelling and digital picture sharing to create a buzz on the internet and apps like Instagram by being flexible and adaptive.

            The company uses story telling for raising awareness and delivers what consumer want and how consumer wants. The company is interested in reaching younger audience who fail to keep up with the traditional audience and is more aligned to media on move tools such as FaceBook, Instagram and Snap-chat. This enhances the participation of the young audience and attracts them to increase the reach of the channel.
