Do you think the key to keeping employees off of the Internet is to block popular social media websites? Why or why not?
Do you feel that this would prevent employees from wasting work hours?

Explanation / Answer
Surfing internet is not completely a waste of time if used in correct way. It makes the employees know what I'd happening in their field and the developments being made. But if it's some social media sites they want to visit and that too during working hours, it is not correct for anyone as this is a total waste of time. But blocking these sites will not help because employees will find some other way to waste time like chatting of they want to. They must be motivated to work by providing interesting targets. This will help to prevent employees from wasting working hours. If caught using these sites a supervisor should warn them and must try to get them involved in work so that they would get interested in work and concentrate on it.
