Question

With this group we will transition to an alternation of generations that is dominated by the sporophyte generation as well as introduce xylem and phloem, vascular tissue. The bryophytes are non-vascular plants but most importantly they are unique because the gametophyte is the dominant stage in the lifecycle. The rest of the plant kingdom is dominated by the sporophyte generation. We will be looking at the rest of the plants under three different subcategories; fern and fern allies, the gymnosperms and the angiosperms.
