Why? 4.)Think of an analogy for capillaries. Remember they are small bloodvessels with very thin walls, and this facilitates their ability toperform exchanges with body cells. Explanation / Answer

1. While both women and men may experience typical ornon-typical symptoms, the major difference is that femalepatients are more likely to have both the classic symptoms ofheart attack plus throat, jaw, and neck discomfort. Some dietary and lifestyle choices such as smoking tobacco, high blood cholesterol, high blood pressure, physical inactivity, obesity and overweight, diabetes mellitus, drinking too muchalcohol, and high levels of stress may place one more at risk forcardiovascular disease. 2. a. Don't understand the question, more frequently thanwhat? Aortic aneurysms are most common after 60 years of age. Malesare five times more likely than females to be affected.Approximately 5% of men over age 60 develop an abdominal aorticaneurysm     b. Because the aortic aneurysms arehard to diagnose as they do not display many sypmtoms before theyrupture, however when they do rupture it results in an extremelyfast and large amount of blood loss, which is often hard to correctfast enough to save the patient. 3. Like veins, lymphatic vessels, which are known aslymphangions have one-way valves to prevent any backward flow.Smooth muscles in the walls of the lymphatic vessels cause theangions to contract sequentially to aid the flow of lymph towardthe thoracic region. 4. Capillaries are very similar to dialysis tubing whichfacilitates the exchange of products in the blood in dialysistubing. In dialysis treatment, dialysis tubing facilitatesthe exchange of water, some ions and other molecules such asglucose during dialysis treatment for individuals with renalfailure. This is similar to the how capillaries facilitatethe exchange of molecules carrying blood and providingoxygen and nutrients to the skin and other tissues.
