A) Assuming one press is required for one cookie, The number of cookie presses required to satisfy production requirement = Number of Cookie boxes to deliver*Number of cookies in a box = 200000*20 = 4000000
B)
Time taken to prepare 700 cookies = Setup Time + Production Time per cookies*Average Batch Size = 45*60+12*700 = 11100 seconds = 185 min
Number of Batches required to fulfil production requirement = Production requirement/Average Batch Size = (Production requirement in boxes*Quantity of cookies in each box)/Average Batch Size = (200000*20)/700 = 5714.286 ~ 5715
Time Taken by Total number of batches required to fulfil production requirement = Number of Batches required to fulfil production requirement*Time taken to prepare 700 cookies (or a batch) = 5715*185 = 1057275 minutes = 17621.25 hours
