And a majority of U.S. households now own high-definition televisions (HDTVs), Internet-connected computers and smartphones. In addition to more devices, consumers also have more choices for how and when they access content. ces o As a result, consumption habits are changing. The rapid adoption of a second screen has transformed the traditional TV viewing experience, with using smartphones and tablets in ways that are natural extensions of the programming they watch. And social media usage is now standard practice in our daily lives -almost half (47%) of smartphone owners visit social networks every day consumers

Explanation / Answer

In the first article, it mentions about the change in consumer behavior due to the fast paced digital environment and day to day interaction with multiple electronic gadgets which of course influenced the consumer’s lifestyle and giving more importance to the social media and network. The usage of traditional television is reduced by the more usage of smartphones because it offers more ease watching videos and gets connected with the social networks.

In the second article, it is evident that due to the technological changes, the same content can be accessed through various digital gadgets and offers more choices to the consumers on selection especially more towards shopping behaviors.
