As an employee, the exposure to international business offers more deeper understanding of the business transactions (export and import, foreign direct investments, sale of services, etc.) which occurs in different parts of the world and this helps in managing any kind of business risks, good understanding of the external business environment and related operations, knowledge on latest business tools and techniques, etc.
My current organization is the mid-size company for tea plantation business and planning to expand globally in the near future. Currently, we are evaluating the business requirements and formulating goals to move forward (kind of readiness). We are also conducting foreign market research to understand the business need and also trying to determine the global market for our type of business, ways to distribute our tea products, in case of any franchise to be opened or look for joint venture, legal aspects, kind of pricing and packaging required.
