Raiding the Office supply cabinet for personal use is unethical. It is unethical according to the Ethical theory of absolutism. The theory states “the moral commands are true at all times”. It is universal for all circumstances and cultures.

This means taking office supply cabinets is equal to shoplifting or stealing from a Wal-Mart. Even taking a single pen or a sticky note for personal use is theft. The theory also maintains that some things are always right and some are always wrong. The same rules apply to everyone. It also stands by the theory that there is no need for two set of rules for different people as absolute rules are universal and same for all.
